Infinity Blade for iOS free for a week
by John Keefer, Feb 14, 2013 2:00pm PSTIf the Unreal Engine-powered visuals of Infinity Blade were priced beyond your means, you can now pick up the game on your iPhone or iPad for free.
Regularly available for $5.99, the sword-fighting adventure is Apple's App of the Week, and is compatible with the iPad and most iPhones and iPod Touches. And as a special Valentine's Day bonus, you can equip a special "holiday helm" once you have downloaded the game.
"Infinity Blade remains one of the most popular games in the App Store and this is a great opportunity to invite new gamers into the Infinity Blade universe," said Donald Mustard, creative director for developer ChAIR Entertainment. Oddly, this sale comes on the heels of the recent news that Infinity Blade: Dungeons was being placed on hold.

If for some unknown reason you have been waiting to try Infinity Blade on your iPhone or iPad, you really now have no more excuses. The Unreal Engine-powered game is now free on the Apple App Store until February 21.
