Assassin's Creed 3 for Wii U finally gets DLC support
by Steve Watts, Jan 18, 2013 12:00pm PSTWii U owners are still playing catch-up when it comes to multi-platform games. The Wii U version of Assassin's Creed 3 is finally getting platform parity with the other consoles, as the Ubisoft has now added the first two downloadable content packs on the Wii U eShop. The Hidden Secrets and Battle Hardened packs are now available for $4.99 and $9.99, respectively.
The Hidden Secrets pack adds three missions, a Captain of the Aquila and Colonial Assassin costume, and the Redcoat and Sharpshooter for multiplayer. The Battle Hardened pack grants three new multiplayer characters (Governor, Highlander, and Coyote Man), and three new multiplayer maps (Charlestown, Fort St-Mathieu, and Saint Pierre).
Three more episodic packs titled "The Tyranny of King Washington" will tell an alternate history of our first president instead accepting the crown. He subsequently shows himself to be greedy and corrupt, prompting Connor to target the tyrant.
