I agree with some of what you have said regarding games having a price point between $60 and $15 it should certainly happen.
The problem I had was with the problem everyone seems to have with forbidding used game sales in one way or another. (I definitely agree with, I think it was Jeff here, that said they are doing it the wrong way they should be giving us something as well not just taking it away. Case and point steam)
If you are buy the game for $60 and enjoy it that should be fine. I don't understand the mentality where you think it should be there responsibility to keep the game off the used game shelves. You have bought there game, you have enjoyed there game. If someone else wants to have the same experience they should have to go through he same process. It would be as if movie tickets after you see it on the big screen you could sell it to a friend.
These are some of the things that are keeping game prices high. By removing the ability to resell games they aren't trying to charge customers more they are trying to increase their customers.
As I said in the beginning it does come down to maximizing profits and this in the end is what they are trying to do of course.
Either way I love the show, it's certainly been entertaining me for countless years now (god looking back now how long has it been Garnett?). Keep rocking on. Love you.

Raising prices does not guarantee increased profits; it may result in a reduction in the market (see The Law of Unintended Consequences). There may be other negative impacts and it may be that prices will increase, but that's not a given.
