Regarding the discussion about the year supposedly being "disappointing," James was 100% right and you're all idiots for arguing with him.
Disappointment is based on expectations, not reality. The year could have been as great as anything, but if you expected more, that's disappointment. It's not a statement on the quality of anything, it's a statement of where things stand relative you where you thought they were going to stand.
Great show, as always, but I really hope you're embarrassed in hindsight over that exchange.

I don't understand why this is so hard for everyone to get. It isn't an assessment of quality, it's not a stated opinion, it's logic!
The point James was making was that he understood how some people might be disappointed given their expectations, because that's how disappointment fucking works! To which Garnett and everyone repeatedly said "but it was a great year because this and that..." which has next to nothing to do with what James was trying to say.
I'm not saying he's wrong to feel one way or the other... I'm saying he missed the goddamned point by a mile, and turned a simple, obvious statement into a shouting ordeal for no good reason.
