Walking Dead: Survival Instinct to feature TV voice talent
by Steve Watts, Nov 30, 2012 10:35am PSTWhile Telltale's heart-wrenching adventure series The Walking Dead is based squarely on the comics, the upcoming shooter from Activision (subtitled Survival Instinct) is based on the television adaptation. So naturally, a few of the show's most iconic actors are lending their voices to the game.
Activision and developer Terminal Reality announced today that actors Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker will reprise their roles of Daryl and Merle Dixon, respectively. As previously reported, the game puts you in the role of the fan-favorite character Daryl, rather than his somewhat dumb, extremely racist brother. The two attempt to find safety in Atlanta, in a story that takes place just before the two run into the show's band of survivors. The game promises some new characters as well, who will no doubt be sociopaths or zombie chow. Maybe both.
The game is scheduled to hit PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 in 2013.
