Diablo 3 issues fresh bans for hacks

Ne'er-do-wells, beware! Blizzard is still casting a watchful eye over Diablo 3 and has issued further rounds of bans for naughty hackers and cheats. Along with the usual bots and whatnot, naughtiness punished includes a hack that zoomed the game out further to attack monsters from so far away they AI doesn't trigger and they don't retaliate.

Blizzard's blog post doesn't say how many cheats it stuck down, so just imagine it's a number that would leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside. With real money changing hands in the auction house, Blizzard will want to be especially careful about shutting hacks down.

Blizzard further claims of Diablo 3 hacks, "In addition to undermining the spirit of fair play, this type of software can cause nasty technical problems, game-related bugs, and stability and performance issues with Battle.net."

Diablo 3 has sold over 10 million copies, and Blizzard plans an expansion.
