Like, I love revolutionary era America, all the people, places, the beautiful wilderness, it's pure escapism and I love being in that place. But then there's that bit of nagging with emails building up. And it's like *sigh* I gotta get out don't I? I gotta get out and wander around and read these emails and wander this boring place and make em happy. I gotta take a break from where I wanna be and pay my dues.
I mean, you're in a dark, grey, featureless stone temple. And I keep thinking "I could be on a rooftop in Boston face-chopping red-coats with a tomahawk! Which sounds more fun, monotone stone temple ... or revolution era America?
Now, I LOVE the story of the modern day, and I'm really enjoying seeing it unfold, but at this stage I'd rather just have it all in a cutscene, that's more entertaining. Because there's hardly anything interesting about that drab environment and Desmond's outfit isn't even fun to look at compared to how awesome Connor's is.
So, after laying waste to a fleet of ships in a hail of cannon fire on the war torn seas of the coast of America I see yet a notification saying "new email" and I let out a long sigh and think "alright, alright, we'll go see the in-laws for a bit, I've been putting it off for a while".
