I was in high school when the first game came out and the game captured a whole lot of attention. It was incredibly marketed that it sold despite the lukewarm reviews it was practically an event that rocked schoolyards. It's not hard to see why the scope spanning history and the future (a little bit highlander in my mind) and the flashy marketing that resembles everyone favorite animes was practically made for the youths (not to come off as too cynical as Mass effect was made to appeal those who dig sci-fi shows and was still awesome). 3 like the other games have alot of ads all of which feature Connor prominently.
I played the games up to brotherhood and liked them well enough but I'm finding that the games are getting really directionless with a lot of mini-games (tank sections and flying machines) hiding the fact that the core mechanics are mostly unchanged. I liked the past narratives but the future plot is rather muddled, in that I'm not sure if the writers know the rules of their own universe(without rules in fantasy drama/interest is muted).
on a side note I love Redlettermeida's reviews and they make small movies, their reviews really dig into the small thing.

I feel like AC is a series begging for a Power Ranger-afication to its character design. Have one character who wears the white hoodie. Then some other Assassin who has a silk green outfit from China. Then on and on, and all the Assassin's can meet through one of those time portals to fight the "ultimate evil" or whatever.
I also think Liberation, is a great example of how Sony could have capitalized on the idea of cross buy, in tandem with a unified digital marketplace. If Activision had released an episode of it for $10, and bundled the first episode with the main game, it would be a much more interesting proposition.
I mean, if people got to play the first episode on their PS3, and really liked it, I think it could easily drive more people to buy Vitas.
