As someone who doesn't care about the language the other people want to throw at me across the internet I find this troubling and a slippery slope.

Black children were literally barred from going to white schools.
Women are not being held out of the gaming sphere or disallowed from joining their male peers, they are free to join in if they wish.
And furthermore when schools were desegregated, they didn't magically become wonderful places for black children to be. Even when forced by outside forces, the culture internally had to evolve itself to the point that real tolerance was achieved.
