by Steve Watts, May 30, 2012 11:05am PDTGeralt of Rivia will be witching on yet another platform, as CD Projekt RED has announced The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings will be coming to Mac later this year.
Admitting that the studio actually uses many Macs in-house, the team emphasized that the Mac version of the game "won't be a port" and would, instead, run natively on OS X, which should help make it accessible on more systems. Still, the company did acknowledge that The Witcher 2 is generally pretty taxing, so don't expect to run this on a MacBook Air. This will be the third platform for the game, after the PC version and the recent Xbox 360 "Enhanced Edition." The Mac version is due sometime this fall.
