Jetpack Joyride jumps to Facebook

While it may not have achieved the same notoriety as Fruit Ninja, Halfbrick Studios' Jetpack Joyride has drained thousands of hours of productivity from the economy. Gamers everywhere mysteriously disappeared for long "bathroom breaks," as they tried to push Barry Steakfries to greater distances on a jetpack-powered journey.

The award-winning game is now available on Facebook, opening it up to PC gamers everywhere.

Like the iOS original, the Facebook version of Jetpack Joyride is free to play. So, how does Halfbrick make money? By trying to sell you coins. While you'll have to play dozens of times to earn enough coins to unlock a jetpack upgrade, you'll be able to buy coins to accelerate your upgrade process. Given how addictive the game is, you might just be inclined to pony up some Facebook credits.
