  On a serious side tangent the first Lost Planet was a real ballsy attempt at creating a new kind of control scheme, where your targetting crosshair was sorta independantly controlled on top of your view in a third person mode. Did anyone try the ultimate attempt at this, the first Hitman? You had totally indendant control over your camera, your movement, and your crosshair. I tried several variations to make this workable, and I could *almost* do it. That game was neat in other ways, it was fucking creepy as hell the way everyone would turn their heads to watch you as you walked by.
