Botanicula skittering onto PC this month
by Alice O'Connor, Apr 05, 2012 6:00am PDTThe latest charming game from Amanita Design, maker of Machinarium and the Samorost series, now has a release date. The IGF Award-winning Botanicula is slated to launch for PC, Mac and Linux on April 19.
Described as a "point'n'click exploration game" by Amanita, Botanicula is about five "little tree creature" friends off on an adventure to save the last seed of their parasite-infested home.
Botanicula scooped the award for Excellence In Audio at the 2012 Independent Games Festival, thanks to music and sound effects created by Czech band DVA.
It'll be sold directly through Amanita, as well as on unspecified "other channels."
