Former Fable devs form Another Place Productions
by Jeff Mattas, Mar 01, 2012 11:45am PSTThe co-founders of Big Blue Box--the game development studio that created the Fable franchise--have announced the formation of their new studio, called Another Place Productions. The new studio is also bringing on board several other former developers from Lionhead, the studio that combined with Big Blue Box before being acquired by Microsoft.
According to gamesindustry.biz, co-founders Dene and Simon Carter, who both left Lionhead last year, are being joined by Lionhead's technical director Guillaume Portes, Fable art director John McCormack, and executive producer Jeremie Texier.
Though no specific projects have been revealed yet, Another Place Productions says it will focus on digital titles for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, Steam, and mobile devices, aiming to "create high-quality, meaningful experiences that will inspire audiences worldwide."
