Sega announces Samurai & Dragons for PlayStation Vita
by Steve Watts, Dec 08, 2011 8:45am PSTSega is examining just what happens when you take ancient Japanese military nobility and mix in some mythical flying lizards with the aptly-named Samurai & Dragons. The game is a hybrid of action and city-building strategy coming to the PlayStation Vita.
Masayoshi Kikuchi is producing the project; he's known as the producer of the Yakuza series and planner for the Panzer Dragoon series. The team behind the project says they chose to use the Vita due to its combination of online connectivity, touchscreen, and motion-sensing features.
Famitsu (via GameSpot) reports that in the action segments, up to four players will gather loot from dungeons by fighting dragons, mummies, and ogres. Then the game switches to strategy, in which you use your loot to build your city and train a monster army. You can also create alliances with other players or attempt to conquer their cities.
No release date has been set for the US or Japan, but more screens can be perused at Famitsu.

Too bad it's on a platform I don't intend to buy. :(
