Lord of the Rings: War in the North demo exclusively on OnLive
by Alice O'Connor, Nov 02, 2011 9:15pm PDTWith The Lord of the Rings: War in the North now in stores, you may be wondering where the demo is. Turns out, if you want to give Snowblind's action-RPG a play, you'll need to turn to cloud gaming service OnLive, which has an exclusive trial.
Playable on the US and UK services, the trial lets you play 30 minutes from the start of the game.
Unfortunately, there's no console or standalone demo for now. However, as OnLive runs the game remotely then streams it back to you, even if there's no way your PC could run the actual game, you can at least get a taste of it through OnLive.
War in the North launched for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 yesterday in North America. The mainland European launch is on November 9, while the UK release is not until November 25.
