SystemShock2 Multiplayer
by Steve Gibson, Jul 30, 1999 12:00pm PDTKen Levine from Looking Glass Studios sent this word to Billy over at VE talking about the multiplayer patch action which they plan on releasing for SystemShock2 shortly after the original demo release:
The multiplayer patch for System Shock 2 will be available for a free download shortly after the release of the game and should be relatively small in size. One of the key reasons we delayed the patch was to incorporate some new, cool technologies, such as being able see the approporate weapons in the hands of the other player characters. We assumed that most people want to play Shock single player first and then move onto multi.
