The Darkness II Limited Edition upgrade free for pre-orders
by Andrew Yoon, Oct 04, 2011 8:30am PDT2K Games is following the strategy employed by many other publishers as of late. All pre-orders of the upcoming FPS The Darkness II will be upgraded to a "Limited Edition" for free. Yes, it will be "limited" and "while supplies last." In spite of the first game having sold a million copies.
Many of the bonuses added to the bundle are digital, such as an alternate darkling "Crazy Abdul" outfit and two character ability upgrades.
The "Gourmet Hearts" upgrade provides a bonus for eating hearts. The "Relic Hunter" upgrade locates collectible items in the world.
In addition, the Limited Edition includes a digital download for the first two volumes of The Darkness Origins comic.
There is at least one physical bonus included with the upgraded bundle. There will be a custom illustration by Marc Silverstri.
The Darkness II will be available on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 on February 7th, 2012.
