Not much has been seen of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 since its surprise announcement at Tokyo Game Show. However, Namco Bandai announced that Tekken fans will be able to get their hands on an exclusive demo version of the game by picking up Tekken Hybrid, a PS3-enhanced Blu-ray, this November.

Tekken Hybrid includes Tekken Blood Vengeance 3D, a new computer animated movie that will "give fans a look into history and motivations of the fighters who join the King of Iron Fist Tournament." It joins the shortlist of videogame-to-CG-movie adaptations, like Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. It also joins the shortlist of Blu-ray discs that combine game and movie content. (Stranglehold included John Woo's Hard Boiled on the disc.)

Although Blood Vengeance will be available on home video in November, it will be making a very brief theatrical run tomorrow, July 26th. Tickets for the one-night event can be searched for here.

In addition to the movie, Tekken Hybrid will bundle two playable extras: Tekken Tag Tournament HD, a high-definition remake of the original PlayStation 2 game. Perhaps more exciting is the inclusion of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue, a demo version of the game, currently only available in Japanese arcades. Four characters will be included in the demo: Alisa, Xiaoyu, Devil Kazuya, and an unannounced character from Blood Vengeance 3D.

"Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue includes character modeling and costume design that is not included in the arcade version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Bringing together a movie, bonus video content, a full HD remake, and a special prologue of the latest Tekken arcade title all in one disc has been challenging, but has resulted in a truly innovative and unique product in the PlayStation 3 system’s history," Tekken director Katsuhiro Harada said in a press release.
