Child of Eden dated and priced for PS3
by Xav de Matos, Jul 18, 2011 4:00pm PDTThe magical and musical world of Child of Eden, from Rez-developer Q Entertainment has finally been given a release date on the PlayStation 3.
The brainchild of legendary game designer and music creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi is set to arrive on Sony's platform on September 20 in North America and on September 23 in Europe.
In North America, the game is slated to launch at $49.99 [via IGN]; however, Edge is reporting that the European release of the game will carry a much smaller asking price. Ubisoft's own online shop prices the game at €19.99 (approx. $28). It's unclear if the Xbox 360 version will see a price-cut in September.
Despite critical acclaim, Child of Eden failed to resonate with gamers at retail. According to Joystiq, the NPD Group has revealed Q Entertainment's latest sold a mere 34,000 units in its debut month.
