E3 2012 arrives on June 5
E3 is coming back to LA next year on June 5th.
E3 is home to the industry's biggest announcements. This year, we saw the introduction of Nintendo's next home console, the Wii U. We saw Sony name and price its next handheld: $249 for the high-tech PlayStation Vita. Microsoft announced not one, but two, Halo games. But the show's biggest news was saved for last.
Yep, E3 is coming back next year. Once again, the Los Angeles Convention Center will play host to the gaming festivities from June 5, 2012 to June 7. And who knows what kind of news we'll be privy to at next year's show?

I thought the reason E3 died years ago was because it was getting too big. Yet here we are again - http://www.businessreviewusa.com/technology/gadget/e3-2011-attendance-soars-above-years-past

Did anyone else find this year's e3 rather dull? The wii U announcement was nice (and I guess the Vita, if you like handhelds), but there was not much in the way of actual game news that came as a surprise or seemed worth getting excited about. Maybe it's just me, or maybe there are just so many other conventions, publisher demo weekends, etc. that e3 is kind of superfluous?

Did you do all 3 days? If so, you have my utmost sympathy.
I did the full show the first few years when I was covering E3 as a writer, nowadays I go for half a day and I'm already tired and hating all of humanity. Even though it's toned down from a few years ago, it still gets to be way too much to take in, for me at least, after a while.
