UFC Undisputed 3 announced for January 2012
by Steve Watts, Jun 02, 2011 3:00pm PDTTHQ announced a new UFC licensed game today, and in keeping with tradition the company has completely scrapped its old naming convention and come up with a new one. From the publisher that brought you UFC 2009 Undisputed and UFC Undisputed 2010 comes... UFC Undisputed 3. Really simplifying it, eh?
The game is set for release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in January of 2012. This edition will debut "Pride Mode," opening up the Japanese MMA and its associated rules and commentators. It will also offer a "simplified" control option to let newcomers get in some kidney-punches of their own. THQ also promises fighter entrances, featherweight and bantamweight divisions, improved online connectivity, and more than 150 fighters in all.
"UFC Undisputed 3 is on track to deliver an incredible virtual MMA experience unlike any other," said THQ executive VP Danny Bilson in the announcement. "This product is intense, engaging and highly competitive while still being extremely accessible, making it a must-have for millions of UFC fans, traditional fighting game enthusiasts and more casual sports fans around the world."
