Report: Operation Flashpoint Red River delayed in North America
by Alice O'Connor, Apr 07, 2011 7:05am PDTThe North American release of Codemasters' battlefield shooter Operation Flashpoint: Red River has been delayed by six weeks, IGN reports.
Codemasters announced back in February that Red River would be released on April 26 in North America, following a European launch on April 21. However, the North American release is now delayed until June 7 while the European launch is curiously still on schedule.
No reason is given for the delay, and it seems there's a little confusion at Codemasters over what exactly is going on.
"We're looking into this now," Codies community manager Ben Bateman said on the official forums. "As soon as I know more I'll let you know." Over on the Xbox 360 forums, Bateman explained that, "I'm waiting to hear back from the people who deal with our US retailer relations."
Shacknews has contacted Codemasters for clarification, but has yet to hear back at the time of publication.

Am I missing anything? Have all those problems been fixed? Man, I LOVE the idea of this game, but the reality of it is frustrating.
