PlayStation Store update: Red Faction: Battlegrounds, SOCOM 4 open beta
by Alice O'Connor, Apr 06, 2011 6:00am PDTSony's weekly PlayStation Store update arrived, as ever, on Tuesday night, bringing new games, demos, downloadable content and more to the PlayStation 3 and PSP.
Only two new releases were in this week's update for everyone, demolish-o-licious vehicular spin-off Red Faction: Battlegrounds and pinball-ish, breakout-y StarDrone.
PlayStation Plus subscribers also get Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and PS mini title Duæl Invaders for free.
Demos for Battlegrounds and Rush'N Attack Ex-Patriot arrived yesterday, plus the SOCOM 4 multiplayer beta is now open to all.
There's half off Angry Birds and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light in the Spring Fever sale, bringing them to $1.99 and $7.49 respectively. PS Plus subscribers can also get 50% off StarDrone.
On the downloadable content front, Mushroom Wars gets local and online multiplayer in a $3 addon. There's also assorted odds and ends for Yoostar 2: In the Movies, Test Drive Unlimited 2, ModNation Racers and more.
As ever, the full update listing is detailed on the PlayStation Blog.
