Stronghold 3 delayed to summer
The castle-building strategy game Stronghold has been pushed back to summer 2011, to allow time for new feature additions.
The castle-building strategy game Stronghold 3 has been pushed back to this summer, announced publisher SouthPeak Interactive today. It was originally slated for spring, so at least the delay isn't too long. It could be worse; you could wait fourteen years and then get a delay into summer.
SouthPeak says the delay is to make time for developer Firefly Studios to add new features to the game, though the announcement wasn't specific on what shiny new features to expect.
"We want to make sure fans get the game they want and deserve," said designer Simon Bradbury in the announcement. "Although some may be disappointed the game isn't coming out as soon as they expected, we're sure they won't be disappointed with the new elements we're adding to the franchise, to make this the best Stronghold yet."
