Battle: Los Angeles game coming from Konami
by Steve Watts, Mar 03, 2011 5:00pm PSTYou know that upcoming sci-fi flick that seems a whole lot like that other sci-fi flick? They're making a game out of it!
Battle: Los Angeles is being developed by Saber Interactive and published by Konami, and is set to launch on Xbox Live Arcade, PSN, and Steam in April. Players take the role of Corporal Lee Imlay (who was just off-camera during the movie, we're sure) to fight aliens as they invade America's smoggiest burg.
The press release makes the game sound like a fairly standard first-person shooter, but promises the Havok Destruction Module to let players wreck buildings, vehicles, and overpasses. Saber has some FPS experience under its belt with Will Rock and TimeShift.
Those with long memories may recall that Resistance 3 was first revealed in a prop billboard for the movie set of -- you guessed it -- Battle: Los Angeles. So the video game thing has kind of come full circle.
