Left Field readies 'Mayhem' for March
by Xav de Matos, Feb 25, 2011 9:45am PSTThough it was already revealed last year by the ESRB [via Joystiq], publisher Rombax Games has officially announced its demolition derby-inspired racer for the Xbox 360 and PS3, entitled Mayhem.
According to the press release, Mayhem features four modes, 120 vehicles, a MadWorld-like "noir comic book aesthetic" and rewards players for their destructive driving habits.
If that wasn't enough for you, there's also everyone's favorite video game addition (and buzz phrase): 3D gameplay! But this feature doesn't require a fancy setup, Mayhem includes a pair of old school 3D glasses in the box.
Mayhem is in development at Left Field Production, the team that previously crafted Score International: Baja 1000 and Excitebike 64. The racer will be distributed by Zoo Entertainment and is expected to launch for $40 this March.
