Bizarre Creations Video Editor Makes Beautiful Farewell Clip
by Jeff Mattas, Feb 18, 2011 2:45pm PSTAfter weeks of unsuccessfully trying to find a buyer following Activision's decision to put developer Bizarre Creations on the chopping block, the studio that brought us the beloved Project Gotham series, Geometry Wars, and - more recently - Blur, has closed up shop for good today. (via Develop)
As a farewell send-off, Bizarre's (now former) video editor Eamon Urtone has put together a very classy video featuring soft piano music and slow-motion clips of the studio's work. If you've been a fan of the studio or its titles, it's more than a little sad-inducing.
R.I.P. Bizarre Creations. You'll be missed.

Of course everyone needs to worry about the control and the money, but you also need to give a damn about those that are making it for you.
Fortunately for us, just like Jobs, he won't be around much longer. And maybe then, just maybe, things will change. For now, Roblizzard Kotickvision will remain the biggest bruise on the gaming industry.

Don't FUCK WITH ACTIVISION.
Your better going with another developer that understands the creative process and you know...makes games. Not look for hot properties and claim they make hot games and milk the shit to death. Oh and RIP Guitar Hero.
see you in the next life bizzare creations. hopefully you'll find a publisher who isn't run by money grabbing fools and give your titles some respect....honestly, releasing bloodstone the same week as black ops...

Also, GW and GW2? Two of the best XBLA games ever released. I was really hoping they'd do GW3 someday. :(

But it was apparent to me early on that Blur was gonna fail. Mario cart doesn't really go together with real cars. It probably would've turned out okay if it was a Vigilante 8 or Twisted Metal type of game.

I cant believe there was no one who'd buy these guys. Valve is loaded with money, couldn't they have bought them up cheap and maybe got a Steamworks powered racer in the style of Project Gotham or something out of the deal?
These guys are too good to fold, surely there's someone out there who can make it work?
