inFamous 2 Releasing June 7, Hero Edition Confirmed

inFamous 2 will release on June 7 in North America, Sony revealed today on the PlayStation Blog. Release information for other regions wasn't given.

The blog also confirmed rumors of the "Hero Edition." The bonuses leaked by Amazon were spot-on, and as predicted the super voucher extras are being split among retailers as pre-order goodies. Amazon gets the 24K Gold Amp, Best Buy gets the Kessler Skin, GameStop gets the Lightning Hook, Wal-Mart gets the Electrocution Grenade, and "participating retailers" get the digital soundtrack.

In addition to all of that, the Hero Edition includes a Cole statue, a replica of his sling pack, and a mini-comic. Finally, the blog confirms the Hero Edition price is $99.99, so you'll be paying a pretty penny for all your extra powers and swag.

Oh shit I didn't know that this was coming out in the summer again. I had assumed it was another holiday release and was worried I'd have to push it back in favor of other games like Dark Souls, Uncharted 3, and Skyrim. WOo!
