Report: Telltale Making Walking Dead, Fables Games
by Steve Watts, Feb 17, 2011 3:15pm PSTThe month-old rumors of a Walking Dead game from Telltale are looking more and more true as we approach tonight's Telltale reveal event. The Wall Street Journal Network's All Things Digital reports that Telltale is set to announce that it will develop and publish a series based on AMC's The Walking Dead. In addition, the studio is reportedly working with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to develop a game based on the comic book series Fables.
Zombie thriller series The Walking Dead became a critical and commercial hit when it premiered on AMC during Halloween. Fables revolves around fairy tale characters residing in modern day New York after being forced from their homes, and it has won over a dozen Eisner awards.
The announcement that started the speculation promised five new projects to be revealed at the event tonight. The Walking Dead and Fables would make two, so we'll have to see what other surprises are in store.

I do also wonder whether they'll follow Telltale's traditional point 'n' click format. With Walking Dead, in particular, I have to wonder if they're planning on changing things up a little bit.
