Crysis 2 Multiplayer Demo Coming to PC on March 1

After revealing a multiplayer-focused demo would launch prior to the game's release for PC gamers, EA has announced that the Crysis 2 trial will arrive on March 1.

Players will be able to square off in six vs. six matches across two maps set in a "war-torn" Manhattan. The first map, Skyline, features battles on the rooftops and interiors of New York's skyscrapers while the second, Pier 17, offers an open environment with limited cover.

Two modes are available in the trial: Team Instant Action, a team deathmatch variant, and Crash Site, a control point battle. A similar multiplayer demo was already released on the Xbox 360.

Crysis 2 arrives on PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 on March 22 in a variety of special edition flavors.

6v6 on the PC?!? I think that is waaay to many players. I mean 2v2 is kind of high, but 6v6? They might need to lower the player count because I know PC players hate to have more players then the amount consoles can handle.

Sarcasm by the way, god I love how terrible games are today. I would point fingers but I don't want to start flame wars.

  In the end it really comes down to how the game plays and the way the levels are designed. I doubt they arbitrarily chose 6v6 just to piss you off. There must be a reason why that works well based on the level and the style of play. More isn't always better. I remember INSANE deathmatch sessions in Quake with 32 players. It was fun for a few minutes just because of the share insanity and chaos of it all... but in the long run... most of those early levels were more fun with maybe 8 to 10 MAYBE 16 at the most.
