Total War: Shogun 2 Demo Coming Next Week
by Alice O'Connor, Feb 15, 2011 10:00am PSTIf you've been burned one time too many by past Total War games performing poorly at launch, you'll be glad to hear that a demo for Total War: Shogun 2 will be released via Steam on February 22, letting you try the game yourself before opening your coin purse.
Publisher Sega explains that "The demo will allow all armchair samurai to test their skills in epic land battles and on Total War: Shogun 2's gorgeous new campaign map," carefully avoiding, for whatever reason, revealing exactly what's actually in the demo.
Developed by The Creative Assembly, Shogun 2 will launch for PC on March 15. While the system requirements have been revealed, given the series' track record you'll want to try the demo before you go pre-ordering to score one of the bonuses on offer.

I can run a computer and I know a few tricks, but that's about it. I know I have the cpu and ram to run this game, but simply put my graphics card is shit. I have a GT 130M and I'm wondering, would I be wasting my money on this game, or would it still be playable and just look like shit? Which I honestly don't mind cause I love these games.

although if this is actually the case "The demo will allow all armchair samurai to test their skills in epic land battles and on Total War: Shogun 2's gorgeous new campaign map,", then maybe it will be the first few turns of a 'road to independance' type mini campaign? wishfull thinking prolly. :D.
still going to have to wait for reviews before buying at the least, and maybe waiting for goty, unless that is, this demo blows my mind, which i doubt.
still, fingers crossed.
