Dungeons Demo Released
by Alice O'Connor, Feb 08, 2011 9:45am PSTTo celebrate the launch of Realmforge's Dungeons today, publisher Kalypso Media has released a demo to offer a taste of the Dungeon Keeper-inspired PC strategy game. The 524MB installer can be found on your friendly neighbourhood FileShack.
The demo contains three single-player campaign levels plus a Survival Mode map, unlocked by triumphing over the forces of good in the three regular levels.
While Dungeons clearly draws inspiration from Bullfrog's dungeon-ruling series, casting players a dungeon overlord commanding minions to build and defend their Hell-hole, it takes things in a different direction. Rather than trying to keep heroes out, you want to lure them into your dungeon, letting them find what they seek and before crushing them and harvesting their 'soul energy'--a satisfied hero is all the more sweet.
