New Deus Ex: Human Revolution screenshots and a trailer have arrived, offering a look at the opening sections of Eidos Montreal's prequel to the hallowed RPG created by Ion Storm.

In short, it's looking nice, very nice. I'm happier than ever to have named it one of my most-anticipated games of 2011.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is scheduled for release on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 some time this year. The game was once due to launch before April but ended up delayed to allow time for "further polish."

So i count stiff animations, wooden cinematics, terrible voice acting and about 2 seconds of gameplay... and on top of that Warren Spector, Harvey Smith and the original crew aren't involved at all. Remind me why I should want to purchase this game? It looks very ... generic.
