Homefront Delayed to March 15; UFC Personal Trainer Pushed to 'Fiscal 2012'
by Xav de Matos, Feb 02, 2011 3:35pm PSTDuring an investor call today, THQ president and CEO Brian Farrell announced that the company has repositioned the release of its upcoming first-person shooter Homefront to one week later than it was originally intended to invade store shelves.
Currently in development for console by Kaos Studios and for the PC by Digital Extremes, Homefront was originally scheduled to arrive on March 8 but will now see release on March 15, according to Joystiq.Reason for the delay was not specified but it may have something to do with the March 8 release of BioWare's upcoming RPG sequel, Dragon Age 2.
Also seeing delays under the THQ banner is a planned Xbox 360 Kinect and PlayStation Move-specific UFC title. UFC Personal Trainer was scheduled to land this spring but has now been reclassified as launching within the publisher's "fiscal 2012" calendar (which begins on April 1, 2011). According to Joystiq, THQ's Farrell noted the game could see release in June.

I think their biggest competition will come in the way of Battlefield 3 being showed off at the beginning of March, people will overlook Homefront for all that it lacks.
