Ubisoft Announces Splinter Cell HD Collection for Retail; Prince of Persia HD Hitting Stores in NA
by Steve Watts, Jan 31, 2011 2:00pm PSTWith the Prince of Persia HD collection available on PlayStation Network and as a boxed product in Europe, rumors have circulated that another of Ubisoft's big name franchises, Splinter Cell, would see its own remastered trilogy.
Today, Ubisoft made it official by announcing that Prince of Persia HD would arrive stateside at retail and an HD collection of the PS2 Splinter Cell trilogy would arrive alongside it. Both collections will come to stores on March 22, 2011 for $39.99 each, and include remastered HD graphics and stereoscopic 3D.
Each will feature three games. The Prince of Persia Classic Trilogy HD will be composed of The Sands of Time, Warrior Within, and The Two Thrones. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Classic Trilogy HD includes Splinter Cell, Pandora Tomorrow, and Chaos Theory.
If you just can't wait until March and don't mind five dollars paying more, the Prince of Persia games are already remastered and for sale individually on the PlayStation Network, for $14.99 each.
