Magicka Sells 30,000 Copies in One Day
by Steve Watts, Jan 26, 2011 1:00pm PSTParadox announced today in a press release that the co-op fantasy action game Magicka has gotten off to an impressive start, selling over 30,000 copies in the first 24 hours alone. The sales success rocketed the game to #1 on the Steam charts.
"The reception for Magicka has been better than we dared to hope," said Paradox Interactive producer Shams Jorjani in the press release. "Single player and LAN is what most people are currently playing but updating the multiplayer lobby and continuously improving the game is our top priority."
The team at Arrowhead Studios is currently looking into bug reports from the community and promises more announcements to come. The first of its updates came just last night, with a variety of tweaks and improvements.
