Vague Hint from Telltale Leads to Walking Dead Rumors
by Steve Watts, Jan 21, 2011 10:30am PSTTelltale Games has snagged some revered intellectual properties lately, like Jurassic Park and Back to the Future, and now they may be moving onto a breakout cable TV series.
1UP reports that the studio dropped vague hints of their next project in an recent invitation. Of the five new projects to be revealed, Telltale's invitation says one is "based on a just-launched property from the TV and comic book world whose popularity is changing life as we know it."
The rumor is that this refers to The Walking Dead, a comic book series that recently became a TV hit on AMC. It fits with the hints dropped in the invitation, but the property was actually launched in 2003 in comic form, meaning it wasn't technically "just launched" at all. We've reached out to Telltale for official word, but in the meantime take this rumor with a grain of salt. For all we know, it could be The Cape.
