Shift 2 Unleashed Receives Release Date
by Alice O'Connor, Jan 13, 2011 9:00am PSTSlightly Mad's Shift 2 Unleashed, the sequel to 2009 racer Need for Speed Shift, will be released in North America on March 29, publisher Electronic Arts announced today. European releases will come a little sooner, landing on March 24 and 25.
That gives you a touch over two months to pre-order and score three bonus cars for your trouble, if you're one to pre-order games without first playing them. If you need a little persuasion, you can read our preview from November.
Shift 2 Unleashed will hit PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. As we are certain that you've been well-behaved today, here is the new trailer celebrating the announcement:
Xbox One won't allow indies to self-publish games
Microsoft won't cater to 'traditional desktop PC gamers' with first-party strategy
Kinect for Xbox One coming to PC
Xbox One does not provide any built-in DVR capabilities
Xbox One increases friends lists to 1,000
Xbox One achievements dynamic, not limited to single games
Battlefield 4 launching October 29; confirmed for Xbox One and PS4

The Devs have also been listening to a lot of feedback from the hardcore sim community and have been responding and talking to people on various sites. Here's a thread with a dev answering some questions. It's a good sign when you have that kind of relationship with gamers.

Was expecting an end of year release...
Game is going to be amazing!!
If Shift 2 is this bad, I'll stick to real-life motorsports and my GT5 arcade machine.
