Neo-Noir Adventure Game 'Gemini Rue' Launching in February
by Alice O'Connor, Jan 11, 2011 4:00pm PSTThe three great tastes of neo-noir, sci-fi and adventure games will come together on February 24 with the launch of indie developer Joshua Nuernberger's Gemini Rue, publisher Wadjet Eye Games confirmed today.
Set in a dystopian future, Gemini Rue alternates between two characters--an ex-assassin seeking a defector and a hospital inmate who's been brain-wiped. The game seemed well worth keeping an eye on when I got to play a bit last year, plus it was a finalist in the 2010 Independent Games Festival Student Showcase, then named 'Boryokudan Rue.'
The downloadable edition of Gemini Rue can be pre-ordered for $14.99. A $24.99 CD edition with the MP3 soundtrack and "professional packaging" is also on offer; it won't ship until March but will give access to the downloadable edition when that launches.

The only criticism I have in the trailer is the character animations seem a little stiff, given the range of possibilities for 2D art.
Reminds me of the good ol days of Kings quest 6, dig, and the like. But feels like it's updated with stronger guts underneath.
I'm excited as hell.
I like it.
this looks good.
