Shining Force, Gunstar Heroes, ToeJam & Earl and More Sega Genesis Classics Hit PC
by Alice O'Connor, Jan 11, 2011 2:00pm PSTSega's mission to re-release classic Sega Genesis games for download on PC has finally struck gold. The fourth batch, available now, packs wonders including three Shining Force titles, Gunstar Heroes and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 from $2.99 apiece.

Shining Force and Gunstar Heroes.Currently the games are available only on GamersGate, though they should soon follow earlier batches and hit Steam, Direct2Drive and other digital distributors too.
While Sega's decision to label some of the earlier batches "Classics" was somewhat questionable, this lot is a bit of a stonker. Here's a list of the fourteen 'new' releases:

Oh shit, I was hoping for SF3 there, but it's "only" Shining in the Darkness. That's pretty cool though, will have to pick those up ASAP once they're available. I love me some Shining Force.
