Shack PSA: DC Universe Online 'End-of-Beta' Event Happening Tonight; Beta Keys Available

As reported late last month, the DC Universe Online beta is set to end with a large scale match of fisticuffs between heroes and villains. The DC Universe Online beta is available on the PC and PlayStation 3 and will come to a close by showing players what "would've happened" had gamers followed in the footsteps of the game's intro cinematic. The beta for both PC and PlayStation 3 will end tonight.

Sony Computer Entertainment outlined some of the festivities on December 21, 2010, revealing the event--entitled "Battle of the Legends"--will allow players fight on the side of good or evil alongside iconic DC characters like Batman, Superman, Lex Luthor, and the Joker. PC users can align themselves with Future Batman, which will be controlled by comic artist Jim Lee, around 5pm PT or with the Lee-controlled chaotic Future Joker around 7pm PT on the PlayStation 3.

A complete breakdown of the battle will be broadcast via DCUO's Facebook page.
