Evening Reading
by Brian Leahy, Dec 20, 2010 5:00pm PSTThis weekend was spent mostly playing and watching Blizzard products with my addiction to StarCraft II back in full swing--including the finals of GSL3 and the EG Masters Cup--and World of Warcraft: Cataclysm holding my interest longer than I thought it would.
I also had a chance to play a lot of iPhone games and Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Overall, it was a good gaming weekend. I'm off to record Weekend Confirmed for next week due to the upcoming Christmas break later this week.

I use the chrome shack extension. How do I add people to friends? Where do I get the number that goes in that text box... and why doesn't it allow user names?
Thread Truncated. Click to see all 7 replies.
The reason it doesn't allow user names is because each user's post has a CSS class that contains the user's id number and not their name. This makes it easier to add a giant blob of CSS that contains all the rules, instead of searching the page for each post for each user in your list and then adding the styles.
Unless I'm missing something there isn't an easy way to convert from username to user id, except by DrWaffles method above.
Once http://crbug.com/39507 gets implemented I can add an option to the context menu when you click on someone's username after a post to add (or remove) them from one of your lists.
