Double Fine Reveals 'Stacking' for Spring 2011
by Brian Leahy, Nov 23, 2010 2:00pm PSTTim Schafer and Double Fine's next downloadable game, following up on Costume Quest, will be Stacking and has been revealed by IGN.
The game features Charlie Blackmore, who is the world's smallest Russian stacking doll in this third-person puzzle game. IGN describes the gameplay and how it will affect puzzles:
The various dolls that populate the community have unique abilities and since Charlie is the littlest of them all, jumping inside another character... is an easy way to acquire new skill sets. Though you can pile on the dolls, only the outside one's power will be accessible, so you may find yourself stacking and unstacking to successfully complete a challenge.
The game is planned to release in spring 2011 for the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. More information, images, and a debut trailer can be found at IGN.
