Homefront Captures Release Date

While the Greater Korean Republic isn't set to land in the USA until 2027, Kaos Studios' fictional account of the inevitable invasion, Homefront, is due a lot sooner. March 8, 2011 in the US, to be exact, it's been announced on the game's Twitter account.

To see how the invasion pans out, check out Xav's recent Homefront single-player preview and his interview with lead level designer Rex Dickson.

Homefront will hit PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The Australian launch will come on March 10, then the UK and Continental Europe get the game on March 11.

Great, now Dragon Age 2, Deus Ex 3 and this are coming out on the same day. Publishers are beyond clueless...they deserve the poor sales they get.

I got a feeling this will do poor no one seems to care about this game and there is no real buzz about it yet i get the feeling the game will be good but just go overlooked.

I commend Kaos for trying to do a full featured single player game but their strength is in multiplayer gameplay. I think they would be much better off just trying to do a MP only title. Battlefield series sold millions with no single player to speak of (until Bad Company).

The preview in Game Informer doesn't do much to generate any real excitement for this title and not much else I've read seems to indicate that it'll be anything special. I still hold out hope that it might be cool but the proposed setting and story (alone) are pretty farcical.

Nice to see in the sea of possible release dates, they pick the one thats already taken by a big hitter (Dragon Age II). Sure they are two completely different games but now Homefront can easily be overshadowed when im actually mildly interested in it.
