Shack PSA: Darkspore Beta Sign-Ups Open

Beta sign-ups are now open for EA and Maxis' Darkspore, though no additional details are available at this time.

The game uses character creation and customization technology developed for Spore in a Diablo-like action-RPG featuring characters designed by the folks at Maxis.

The game is scheduled for release on the PC in February. While you wait, why not read our preview.

The lighting and textures look pretty bad in those screens but hopefully that still has time to change. Either way it could still be a fun game.

This is the first I'm hearing about this game... I bought Spore day 1 and played it for a few hours, and haven't touched it since, but I do like me some loot.
