Alleged Breach Thief Put on 18-Month Probation

Justin May, the twenty year-old accused of attempting to steal the game code of Atomic Games' Breach at PAX East 2010, has been placed on an 18-month, pre-trial probation (via Joystiq).

nope According to the terms of the probation, May must "stay in school, not reoffend, stay off of Xbox Live web sites, and forfeit his computer, which was seized at the time of his arrest" for 18 months. If he does this, the case will be dropped.

May was reportedly spotted downloading code from the game onto his laptop at PAX East before being caught and arrested. Later, he failed to show up for his court arraignment and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Atomic Games originally intended to release Breach this summer, but delayed the shooter until January. Our hands-on preview can be found here.
