DJ Hero 2 Demo Hits Best Buys, Web Demo Fun for Two Minutes
by Brian Leahy, Oct 12, 2010 11:20am PDTAhead of its October 19 release, Activision has teamed up with Best Buy to put a new demo of DJ Hero 2 in over 900 retail locations in the United States. The demo will feature quickplay, multiplayer, and freestyle modes. The following mixes will be playable in this in-store demo:
- Pussycat Dolls Featuring Busta Rhymes "Don't Cha" Mixed With Pitbull "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)"
- Lady Gaga Featuring Colby O'Donis "Just Dance" Mixed With Deadmau5 "Ghosts N Stuff"
- MSTRKRFT Featuring N.O.R.E. "Bounce" (Battle Mix)
- Estelle Featuring Kanye West "American Boy" Mixed With Chic "Good Times"
A web-based demo can also be played, which attempts to replicate the core gameplay of DJ Hero on the mouse and keyboard. It's a fun, two-minute diversion, but mostly serves as a basic introduction to the game.
The full 83-mix soundtrack of DJ Hero 2 can be found here. The game will be released on the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii on October 19 in the US and on October 22 in Europe.
