A new trailer for the upcoming action-adventure Castlevania: Lords of Shadow has been released and it outlines the game's storyline, characters, and multitude of gameplay elements. Also, it looks really good.

Developed by MercurySteam in association with Kojima Productions, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is set to be a perfect entry point for those who have yet to experience the franchise that is nearly 25 years old.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is slated to hit the Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 5 in North America and October 7 in Europe.

This looks like Dante's Inferno mixed in with Castlevania. The only thing that could POSSIBLY save this would be a decent story line...and the game is 19.99. At that point I'd buy it. But not for the $60 they plan on dumping the game in our laps at.

  Despite the fact its gameplay elements have already been seen in God of War, Dante's Inferno, Darksiders, and even Shadow of the Colossus, I still absolutely want to play it. Fantastical settings and monster killing is always fun. And hey, Patrick Stewart. (Also, gameplay vid!)
