Evidence of my Halo has been documented into the digital history books through non-judicious use of Bungie Pro's video rendering tool. You can check out footage of some Arena Doubles, Arena Teams, and our group getting the "Skunked!" achievement in a game of Invasion.

Thanks for the suggestion to try the option to match player ability. While I still suck, at least I'm not finishing dead last and managed to finish first a couple of times. Actually, the fact that I was finishing above dead last in regular play makes me feel a bit better about my ability.
I did find one game I'm good at. SWAT. Especially on the larger maps. I finished first on team slayer twice on SWAT.

Whoever decided to put single betrayal kicking into the game is a fucking retard. So far tonight I have been kicked twice, both when I was by far the leader on my team because :
1. I stuck a grenade to an enemy and he ran into my teammate then exploded
2. Hit a direct shot with a rocket against an enemy and there happened to be a teammate near him I couldn't see.

I beat the game but never got the achievement for completing normal and heroic difficulties. I go to the select mission screen and all missions are unlocked, yet pillar of autumn says I never completed it (highest difficulty completed is blank with no skulls.)

Tried to use the Steam auto updater for ATI drivers. Computer froze, had to reboot. Now I get an error upon booting it up, can't access the catalyst control center. don't have the option to uninstall in the control panel. tried reinstalling drivers over fucked up drivers, same problem.
Best bet to just use driver sweeper or something similar and remove them in safe mode? will it even work correctly if I don't uninstall them first (which i can't seem to do)?

I just won my first game. It was also the first game I played!* It was fun. I chose Rome because everyone knows Rome is the best. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take advantage of Rome's unique units, the Legion and the Ballista, because I wasn't able to connect Iron until they were both obsolete. That was a theme that would continue for the rest of the game: strategic resources did not appear on my home island, and I had to go out and get them if I wanted them. Mostly, I accomplished this by buying alliances with city-states who had the resources I needed. On the other hand, the mid- and late-game resources ended up not mattering much because no one attacked me after about the midpoint of the game. I was honestly disappointed about that -- I expected someone to attempt a last-ditch war to prevent me from building the space ship, but no one did, and I completed it in boring peace.
I started out on a medium-sized island that I soon discovered I was sharing with Pharaoh Ramesses of Egypt. The Pharaoh foolishly neglected his military, and a small troop of spearmen and archers easily captured Thebes, which became one of my best cities, and eliminated him from the game. At that point, early though it was, I had basically won the game. I had a whole island to myself, plenty of room to expand to my full size, and no one nearby except Bismarck across a narrow sea.
Speaking of Bismarck, he tried to do the right thing, starting some shit with me in the midgame. He had his Landsknecht and a fair number of units, but I teched quickly to Riflemen, used my superior tactics to take two of his cities, and secured gems, oil, and aluminum in the bargain. It seemed like just a skirmish to me -- two cities changed hands, but they were border colonies, not core cities, and he still had greater numbers than me -- but Bismarck must have seen it differently. He begged me for a peace treaty in return for Hamburg, Frankfurt, and all his horses and iron. How could I refuse?
After that treaty, the game's wars were over. I traded with Songhai and Greece cautiously from across the sea, signing Research Agreements when they could afford it, and occasionally talking about how much they hated each other, but never doing anything about it. I continued to court the city-states near Rome, plying them with gold and impressing them with my grand constructions and the wisdom of my great people. Fully half my culture generation over the course of the game came from alliances with city-states, and I got a fair number of military units from Tyre, too. I hunkered down, fortified my coastal cities, built a few destroyers to watch the seas, and set about the business of serious economy-building. With railroads, factories, and Communism, I built the Apollo project and sent my spaceship to the stars.

I'd use that one, because I have one and they're good quality. I like the idea of a pint glass/mug as opposed to cuff links or a zippo that you might put in a drawer and never use again. I use the one I have all the time.
The only thing is, this is the exact same one that my best man got me when I was his best man, so I want to get something similar but different.
